Ground Breaking Ceremony, "Street Lighting Project"
August 4, 2014, was the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the "Street Lighting Project" of Vice Mayor Marcelo M. Baquial Jr.
Among the many projects of Vice Mayor Baquial this one is the brightest as it intends to provide street lights in the major roads along Polacion, Guilawa, Cadiis, Mabini, La dicha and Tuburan. Funding for these projects sourced mainly from the Vice Mayors personal fund specifically from his three (3) year salary as Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Malangas. He sees that these projects will ensure a safer environment for the people of Malangas in their commute around the town most especially during the night and will shed light to the path of development for Malangas. Not only is it intended to help improve the peace and order situation in the municipality, as well as in pushing its economic development, this project is also good to the environment as it uses renewable energy through the use of solar generated energy.
Vice Mayors Baquial's project exemplifies his deep sense of Social Responsibility one that we hope to see in every one in the public service.
